If you are looking to practice e-mini futures or any other commodity with a simulator before you start trading real money:http://www.tradersplatform.com/contactus.htm

Futures Trading Simulator ( e-mini S&P futures)

Also, we recommend that you obey these rules:
1)    When you use simulated futures trading, use the same number of contracts you would use in real life.
Don’t exaggerate, and you should obey the 50% margin rules for day trading.
2)    Use stop loses,  and obey by them. Don’t place “imaginary” ones, rather place real ones.
3)    Use realistic profit taking targets while trading, not based on hindsight.
Above all, if you are honest in applying your methodology, the easier would be the transformation to trading real money.

Trading futures, foreign exchange, and options on margin carries a high level of risk and may not be suitable for all investors. The high degree of leverage can work against you as well as for you. Before deciding to trade futures, foreign exchange, or options you should carefully consider your investment objectives, level of experience and risk tolerance. The possibility exists that you could sustain a loss of some or all of your initial investment and therefore you should not invest money that you cannot afford to lose. You should be aware of all the risks associated with futures, foreign exchange and options  trading and you could lose more than your original investment.
